Black Sovereign Stays came out of one idea. Exceptional travel should begin with a conversation rather than a package.
Most travel now gets bought from a search box. You type a city, sort by price, book the third result. It works, in the sense that you end up somewhere with a bed.
What it leaves out is that the sea-view rooms on floors two to four look onto a car park. That the temple turns unbearable at eleven and transcendent at six. That the four-hour connection you booked to save money sits in a terminal with one closed cafe and a row of metal benches.
Those are judgment problems rather than information problems, and judgment is what we sell.
Black Sovereign designs and arranges private journeys for people who would rather spend an hour talking to someone who knows than eleven hours in browser tabs.
What we believe
Fewer places, longer
The most valuable thing we do is take destinations off a list. Three cities in ten days is usually two too many.
The room, not the hotel
Two rooms in the same building can be entirely different holidays. We book the specific one, by number where it comes to it.
Timing over sights
When you arrive somewhere matters more than whether you go at all. Most of the planning is hours, not places.
Honest counsel
Where the cheaper option is the better one, we say so. Where the month you picked is the wrong month, we say that too, and we say it early.
The short history
Black Sovereign is a young company. Every number on this site is a real one, which is exactly why you will see so few of them.
What we offer instead is four commitments with numbers attached. A reply in four working hours. A first itinerary in forty-eight. One contact from first message to final landing. A direct line for the whole time you are away.
We are a registered travel business in India. Every booking carries a GST invoice, every quote arrives itemised, every rupee stays accounted for. That strikes us as a better foundation than a number we invented.
